Cancellations
7 Day Cancellation Policy
Cancel prior to 7 days - full deposit refund.
Cancel within 7 days but 48 hours prior - recieve a gift code for the value of your deposit that is valid towards a future stay with in 1 year.
Cancel 48 hours or less - Deposit is non-refundable. A charge of the first night stay will apply.
We do not offer refunds or guarantee for early departures, road and weather conditions or changing air quality as this is beyond our control.
The Buttes Resort is on a back-up power system and all units are connected to this system in the event of a power outage.
Non Smoking Property
In the interest of better health and the forest environment in which we live, we kindly ask that you please refrain from smoking anything on the Buttes Resort Property.
A smoking area has been set up and ash tray provided between the Buttes Resort and the Red Moose Cafe.
A $150 cleaning fee may be assessed if you smoke anything inside the cabins or rooms.
The use of any fireworks or incendiary devices on the Buttes Resort property is strictly prohibited and is also highly illegal in the Tahoe National forest.

Pet Policy
For the comfort of all our guests, at this time, we do not accept pets at the resort. This includes all animals that you might call a pet beyond dogs. (hamsters, goldfish, birds, etc)
Service animals that are trained to work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability are welcome at the Buttes Resort.
All other animals, trained or untrained, whose sole function is to provide emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companionship do not qualify as service animals and are not permitted at the Buttes Resort.
A $150 fee will apply if you bring a pet unannounced into the cabins or rooms.
We still want you to come to Sierra City, so if you must travel with your pet, here are some options that might accommodate you:

Check in is after 2PM and before 8PM unless prior arrangements have been made.
Check out time is 11AM
Visitors
In consideration of all our guests, all visitors must leave the property by 10PM. No overnight or after hour visitors, no exceptions.
Showering and bathing in the cabins or rooms are limited to registered occupants only and is strictly enforced.

Please Note - A VALID Credit Card is required to secure all bookings and a $50 reservation deposit is required.
Two night minimum on some of the rooms. Rates may be higher on weekends and holidays.

Cancel prior to 7 days - full deposit refund. 7 days prior occurs at 2pm 7 calendar days prior to your arrival.
Cancel within 7 days but 48 hours prior - recieve a gift code for the value of your deposit that is valid towards a future stay with in 1 year.
Cancel 48 hours or less - Deposit is non-refundable. We will charge the first night rent as we will be unable to rent it out due to our mountain location.
Maximum occupancy limits will be enforced. Limits apply to all ages, including infants unless otherwise agreed upon by management.
Showering and bathing in the cabins or rooms are limited to registered occupants only and is strictly enforced.
Off street parking is available on site @ no charge. One car space is allocated per room. If an extra space is required please phone and alternative arrangements can be made.
Smoking anything in the cabins and rooms will not be tolerated. We are now a non-smoking property. There is a smoking area located next to the Gazebo on Spring St /Hwy 49 with an butt/ash tray for your convience.
Sorry, Pets are not allowed at this time in the units or on the Buttes Resort property without management approval.
We enforce a strict Zero Tolerance Policy on any unruly, loud, illegal or offensive behavior. Unauthorized parties, group gatherings & functions which have not been pre-approved by management are strictly prohibited. Should complaints be received, management reserves the right to remove guests & terminate the duration of their stay with NO REFUND given, or responsibility for finding alternative accommodation.
Extra charges will be incurred if the room is not left in a reasonable condition.
The Buttes Resort is not responsible for fire, accidents or theft.
