My name is Jim Westfall, born and raised in Southern Idaho, I moved to Utah after high school and proceeded to work with an international mining company for 22 years. After my son was raised and moved out to live on his own, I decided it was time for a change. I am an avid skier, hiker and just simply love the outdoors. It was in 2015 that I first found the Buttes Resort and I fell in love. By June of 2016 I was finally able to call it my new home. Much to my luck, I met Rosa Maria here in Sierra City and we too fell in love. Together we call this our home.

We invite you to come up to Sierra city to see and do all that the area has to offer. Go gold panning, hiking, tubing down the Yuba river, take in a massage or just take it easy and hang out at one of the local restaurants or simply sit on the deck and enjoy the view.
